When I began my internship at Marshall Wolfe, I had no previous experience or understanding of the hiring process. However, I was quick to learn that it is a practice founded on close and personal relationships, both with clients and prospective candidates. That being the case, I was greatly encouraged by the clarity and transparency of communication that Marshall Wolfe maintains with their network. My experience at Marshall Wolfe therefore instantaneously disassembled the negative stereotypes borne by the word ‘recruitment’.
Although the entire experience has been thoroughly enjoyable, one of my favourite aspects has been being able to assist the team in maximising the efficiency and fluency of the hiring process, to ensure this remains as fair and inclusive as possible. It is highly satisfying and inspirational to witness Marshall Wolfe secure potential life-changing opportunities for candidates on a daily basis. Another highlight of my internship, which results from being situated conveniently just outside the centre of Woodbridge, was our trip on the “Sarah Ann Austin” on the River Deben. This proved to be a very well-earned and relaxing break for the team, in the midst of a particularly scorching week of the summer.
The Wolfpack retains incredible understanding of the hiring consultancy industry and maintains a flexible and initiative-led approach to attracting the best talent available. Since the pandemic, Marshall Wolfe has been operating a hybrid work system. The team works in the office three days a week, and the symphony of phone calls and meetings creates a lively, spirited and productive atmosphere. I am very grateful to have been able to spend this month working in such a focused, progressive and welcoming team and very much look forward to watching Marshall Wolfe grow and succeed in the future.
