Celebrating International Women’s day with some of the wonderful women at Marshall Wolfe who are giving equity a huge embrace.
Embracing equity requires a commitment to EDI and a willingness to examine and address any biases or barriers that may exist within the business. By creating a culture of equity and inclusion, businesses can foster a more engaged and diverse workplace, and improve employee morale and retention.
Equitable action is about fairness and ensuring that everyone has access to the resource they need to succeed, regardless of their starting point. Being in the technology and consultancy space, we are especially keen to hear new ideas and ways of working that bring true diversity of thought into organisations.
Small steps to embrace equity:
- Address unconscious bias: Training employees and providing tools to reduce bias in hiring, promotions, and decision-making.
- Strive to create a diverse and inclusive workplace: Develop a diverse hiring process, promote diversity in leadership roles and provide resources to support underrepresented groups.
- Implement equitable policies and practices: Ensure equal opportunities for all, equal pay for equal work.
- Engage with and support the community: Partner with local organisations and participate in efforts to promote a more just and equitable society.
It is a time to reflect on the remarkable women that have inspired us throughout the years, but also an opportunity to promote and encourage gender diversity and inclusivity for the next generations.
What actions are businesses taking to become a more inclusive workplace?
